DDH1 Limited (ASX: DDH) is Australia’s premier ASX-listed mineral drilling contractor, serving the Australian mining and exploration industry – from the smallest explorer to the largest miners across all phases of mineral exploration and resource development.
DDH1 operate a fleet of +170 highly productive drill rigs and employ over 1600 drilling industry specialists.
“We don’t take short cuts on safety or quality, and we only employ the most experienced people in the industry.”
Based in Perth, with a regional office in Brisbane, what started as a one-rig fleet in 2006 today comprises three complementary brands – DDH1 Drilling, Strike Drilling, Ranger Drilling & Swick Mining Services.
DDH1 Limited operates a divisional business structure where all four of our brands have professional managers to ensure that each specialised brand is well managed and sustainable.
DDH1 Drilling
DDH1 Drilling specialises in diamond core drilling services for the extraction of rock samples from depths of up to 3,000 metres. DDH1 Drilling are pioneers of deep hole directional drilling and, due to the highly technical nature of the drilling performed, require highly experienced personnel, and specialised equipment to perform the services.
Directional drilling allows for controlled deviations in the direction of drilling activity – making it possible for drilling to be steered toward a designated target or to steer drilling back on course if it deviates from a planned path.
Strike Drilling
Strike Drilling are specialist air core (AC) and reverse circulation (RC) drillers, operating highly mobile, dual purpose rigs for work with a focus on enhanced safety, reduced environmental impact and productivity.
Strike’s dual-purpose rigs have a smaller footprint than traditional RC rigs and utilise longer drill rods and other features such as stationary cone sampling systems. This allows for increased productivity, better sample quality when aircore drilling and easier access to smaller and more inaccessible sites than a traditional RC rig.
Ranger Drilling
Ranger Drilling primarily focuses on reverse circulation and core drilling drilling for the iron ore industry. Ranger’s drilling services have various applications across the entire mine life cycle.
Ranger is at the forefront of automation, monitoring, recording and transmitting drilling data in real time, which allows operations managers to remotely observe the operating parameters of drilling rigs and to direct drillers in the most efficient operational methods.
In just 14 years, DDH1 Limited has grown to the most sought-after ASX-listed drilling contractor in Australia. It is a testament to our unwavering commitment to safety, quality, efficiency and the use of the most advanced machinery and techniques to deliver outstanding outcomes to our clients.
Swick Mining
Swick Mining Services (Swick) has built its reputation over 20 years of operational excellence, setting industry benchmarks for productivity, reliability and versatility. With innovative and reliable rigs, Swick’s globally recognised underground drilling solutions increase productivity, reduce cost and deliver project objectives.
